Passionate about driving economic mobility through strategic initiatives, I bring over a decade of experience in program design, marketing communications, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advocacy. With a proven track record of spearheading impactful projects and achieving tangible results, I excel in collaborating with stakeholders, designing comprehensive strategies, and leveraging data-driven insights to foster inclusive communities and drive organizational growth.
I am a proud graduate of Virginia Union University, where I obtained my Master of Business Administration. Additionally, I hold certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and in Google UX Design and Advanced Google Analytics. I blend analytical rigor with creative vision to deliver results-driven solutions. Whether implementing key performance indicators across multiple markets or driving revenue growth for nonprofit organizations, I excel in dynamic environments where I can create a meaningful impact.
Beginnings
My professional journey began in 2011 at the Small Entrepreneur Enterprise Development Institute in Richmond, Virginia, where I trained over 4,000 clients in Business Development and Entrepreneurship. As the lead instructor for marketing workshops, I honed my teaching skills while equipping clients with the tools to succeed. With a desire to enhance my technical skills I then joined Henrico County Public Schools Career Technical Education Department, working alongside the CTE Video Production Technician. I supported the “Summer Career Camp” project, creating promotional videos to encourage student enrollment in career development programs.
EARLY-CAREER
In 2014, I took on the role of DEI Program Manager at a University. While there, I spearheaded a variety of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and initiatives, ensuring that students were well-prepared to excel in today’s workplaces and navigate our multicultural society. Recognizing the need to expand my efforts in poverty alleviation on a larger scale, I journeyed to South Africa. There, I partnered with the NGO Raise the Children International and assumed the role of Marketing Director at the Mosesi Youth Foundation. Through these endeavors, I directly impacted over 400 students, exposing them to post-matriculation opportunities vital for igniting economic growth within their communities.
